Under the general direction of the Unit Director, the Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process to identify patient needs, systematically plan and implement a plan of care and continually evaluate the results of that care.


EDUCATION: Licensure (as required below) signifies education requirements have been met. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, BONDING: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin. Current employees must maintain BLS certification. New hires must achieve certification within 3 months of hire. Lactation Counseler certification is preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Previous healthcare or nursing experience preferred.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Current employees must maintain NRP certification. New hires must achieve certification within 6 months of hire.

Department Specific:

Provides care to mothers and babies in the post partum phase, care of the antepartum patient and post operative gynecology patients. Diagnoses include, but are not limited to: Antepartum complications, Postpartum care, Hysterectomy, Gyn procedures.
