Business Operations Senior Manager


  • Manage day-to-day operations and staff for workflow pipeline, including, but not limited to scanning/OCRing, coding, blowback, ESI Processing, and building/populating databases

  • Determine best practices and re-engineer scanning, indexing, eDiscovery, and database construction and population workflows for efficiency and accuracy

  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures for processing workflows

  • Recommend and institute changes to documentation and SOPs

  • Answer technical questions from customers and staff on software and workflows

  • Assist with development of technical approaches for responses to RFPs

  • Provide level of effort for bids and new projects, including time and cost estimates

  • Ensure deliverables go out on time, are accurate, and complete

  • Ensure billing is submitted timely and is complete and accurate

  • Ensure internal and external clients’ needs are met or exceeded

  • Provide documentation and develop training materials for staff

  • Review/approve staff time sheets

  • Mentor staff and foster a positive environment where employees’ concerns are heard

  • Maintain constant communications with key stakeholders and clients to ensure accurate and timely status and issue reporting to Project Managers and clients regarding work order due dates, progress, quality, and other requirement issues

  • Provide weekly/monthly reports to clients and PAE management

  • Attend weekly/monthly meetings with clients

  • Interact with client agencies, consultants, and subcontractors to achieve other goals

  • Interact with PAE Subcontracts, Contracts, and Corporate Resource entities (i.e., HR, Procurement, Billers, AP) to achieve other goals

  • Provide consultative technical support to Project Managers, as needed

  • Work with system, program management, and technical teams to select application(s) for Scanning, Coding, EFP Processing, Data Collection, Forensics, Work Order Tracking, production statistics for programs

  • Work with purchasing on licensing and vendor relationships for DSC Operations applications

  • Manage upgrades and installation of applications, in conjunction with PAE IT and IT Security; and work with PAE IT to ensure that server and network infrastructure is optimized for best performance of DSC operations applications


  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a technical field

  • 5+ years in eDiscovery, including progressively increasing responsibility to the management level for tasks identified in Responsibilities

  • At least 2 years of Relativity experience required

  • RCA certification and other eDiscovery certifications are helpful

  • Use of analytics in Relativity, including structured and conceptual analytics helpful

  • In-depth knowledge of current industry standards and practices

  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Must to be proactive, organized, and detail-oriented

  • Possess the ability to learn new tools quickly and train staff
