The project is a leading edge solution. IBM is contracted to supply this service until 2020.The Inventory Optimisation Planner will Optimise Telstra’s Spare Part Inventory across the National NetworkKey Responsibilities:• Provide optimisation of the Spares Inventory to achieve timely Network Fault Resolution• Lead the Inventory Optimisation Process including inventory re-location• Redistribution of inventory across Storeroom locations to reduce reliance on Vendor supplied parts to the field for stocked inventory• Recommend stock additions required in Network storerooms• Recommend for stock reduction for parts that are stocked and have no demand• Validation of iLog stock holding recommendations & performance• Ensure that spares that are available are best placed to resolve Network Faults• Make recommendations of spares holding's• Ensure iLog working to achieve supply chain optimisation• Work with IBM Service Centre Inventory specialist• Specialised Support Activities to Optimise Spares Performance Delivery and Management

Mandatory skills• A good understanding of material management principles, processes and systems.• SAP knowledge• Good optimisation of rotable spares using skills and systems analytics• Proven analytical ability of a high standard.• Commitment to standardisation of best practice planning and inventory management principles.• Well developed interpersonal skills to enable effective communication with suppliers, customers, management, technology specialists and peers.• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and effectively with limited direction.• Demonstrated achievement of excellent customer service.• Is willing to share information and skills, to coach, help and advise others.
