Job Function:

Based out of Miami, Florida office, the Marketing and Communications Director will be responsible for the Kalmar brand development and management in the Americas region, including developing and coordinating marketing communications processes and daily activities within the Americas region for all divisions and business lines. This individual will be the point of contact for all public relations and internal communications with the assigned region. Specifically, the individual will be responsible for the marketing for the Forklift Truck product line, APD and Services group within the Americas region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing a Marketing and Communications strategy for Kalmar Americas region

  • Driving development initiatives related to Kalmar brand and marketing communications processes and activities in the Americas

  • Support Kalmar Americas management in internal and external communications

  • Support local marketing resources across the region in brand management and ensuring a consistent way of working

  • Coordination of press relations and Kalmar press activities in the Americas region in cooperation with Kalmar global marketing and communication

  • Coordination of Kalmar advertising activities in Americas

  • Coordination of Kalmar exhibitions in the Americas region

  • Editor for kalmarusa.com website, coordination and content/user support for other local websites in the region

  • Writing news releases, articles and success stories for Kalmar’s global and local communications channels

  • Member of Kalmar customer magazine editorial board

  • Participate in Kalmar global level marketing and communications development initiatives and projects

  • Planning and implementing marketing activities, campaigns and events to support Kalmar Forklift truck & APD sales in the Americas in cooperation with FLT, APD and Services business line marketing

Job Requirements: Education

  • University degree in marketing, communications, business administration or related field


  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably from global industrial business, Latin experience preferred


  • Business oriented mindset

  • Excellent written and verbal English and Spanish skills

  • Structured way of working

  • Target oriented

  • Proven project management skills

  • Proactive and cooperative approach

  • Good networking skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Experience in media relations and social media

  • Experience in MS SharePoint, web content management systems, newsletter tools and Photoshop
