Kforce Mortgage Project Manager in Miamisburg, Ohio

Kforce has a client seeking a Mortgage Project Manager in Miamisburg, Ohio (OH). The main function of a Project Manager is to oversee the application of project management methodology during all phases of the project cycle, with responsibilities including project design, scope management, cost control, quality and performance reporting. Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops, tracks and manages project budget, project plans, timelines and scope

  • Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising

  • Partner closely with other members of functional project teams to define business requirements

  • Lead teams of workers in the delivery of high-quality production

  • Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses

  • Ensure appropriate development and project management processes are being utilized

  • Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors

  • The Mortgage Servicing PMO is responsible for management of regulatory and process improvement projects throughout all businesses within Mortgage Servicing

The Objectives of the Team Are:

  • To profitably grow the mortgage servicing portfolio, create new processes, improve existing processes and reduce compliance and audit risk

  • Under general supervision, responsible for managing end to end projects through various phases of the project life cycle

  • Responsible for leading project team assigning individual to responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing project plans to ensure timely and successful completion of project

  • Takes projects from original concept through completion

  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports

  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis

  • Communicates with stakeholders and PMO regarding status of specific projects

  • Analysis and design of objectives and business goals; planning the work accord

  • Bachelor's degree in a business or other non-technical field such as Finance, Accounting, or Administration or equivalent work experience

  • Professional certification desirable, for example Six Sigma understanding and certification

  • MBA or other related advanced degree preferred

  • PMP or PMI certification

  • 5-7 years' experience

  • Proven project management experience

  • People management and team building skills

  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities

  • Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization

  • Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles

  • Mortgage/Banking Experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of stakeholders, including upper management, clients and other departments

  • Highly organized with analytical, communication and project leadership skills

  • Understands business function, including technology with the ability to apply that knowledge at a strategy and system level

  • Understand the Line of Business supported

  • Effective problem solving, presentation and coaching skills

  • Must set and communicate project objectives, scope and success criteria as well as define the role and function of each team member to effectively coordinate the activities of the team
