Child & Family Services of RI Teacher- Yearlings in Middletown, Rhode Island

To work with the Director of Child Care Services in structuring and implementing a program that will meet the needs of children and their families. To manage the Child Care site and be responsible for the day to day needs and activities.

To promote the optimal development and well being of children through family-centered child care. Planning and implementation of developmentally appropriate program which emphasizes learning through play. To ensure monthly curriculum contains detailed lesson plans, outlining specific activities which meet the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs of the children. These activities must encompass the following areas: math, science, literacy, fine motor, gross motor, dramatic play, sensory, music and movement, and language development. To share in the implementation of daily activities based on the children’s individual assessments. To oversee children’s activities interacting directly with groups and individuals. To use daily contact with parents to develop positive relationships; being available to parents as needed. To be ultimately responsible for the timely submission of paperwork including: daily notes, attendance, meal sheets, newsletters, curriculum plans, volunteer evaluations and developmental profiles.


An earned Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood education or related field. Experience in an Early Childhood setting which would be attained through one full year of direct care experience. Must meet all state licensing regulations and requirements.
