Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin, Inc Vocational Case Manager-Linen in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Our Case Managers are responsible for employment support and training for Goodwill Linen Services’ program participants and specified support for program participants who are qualified under the AbilityOne program. This includes assessment, interpretation of assessment results, orientation and training, development of individual development plans, follow-up, report writing, and consultation with external and internal support personnel.
A. Essential Job Functions
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized development plans by establishing appropriate goals and objectives for program participants.
Assess program participants for job readiness, education and training needs, and support needs.
Facilitate various professional and daily skills training classes as required.
Accurately complete and submit on time, 30-day, semi-annual, and annual evaluations, based on development plans, for all assigned program participants.
Coordinate and ensure access for program participants to appropriate support services.
Follow up to ensure attendance and analyze progress toward goal achievement for assigned program participants. Attendance reports, phone calls, and individual meetings are used to monitor progress.
Maintain accurate progress reports and documentation of incidents that occur.
Provide guidance and support in the areas of career exploration, awareness of community resources, professional appearance and behavior.
Provide emotional and problem solving/supportive techniques to staff that need them.
Maintain a professional working relationship and provide ongoing support and assistance to Operations Management.
Participate in job-related training and staff meetings.
Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
Maintain a professional level of confidentiality in all work-related activities.
Perform all other job duties as assigned.
A. Core Competencies:
Ability to assess performance of individuals with disabilities and disadvantages.
Knowledge of labor market and employer needs.
Knowledge of industrial safety methods and the ability to educate individuals in safe work practices.
B. Training and Experience:
Bachelors’ degree in rehabilitation or a related field preferred.
A minimum of one year successful work experience in a related field.
C. License or Certificate:
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
D. Physical/Sensory demands: (Range of motion, weight requirement, repetitive use of hands/feet, speech, vision, hearing, other requirements)
Full range of motion.
Repetitive use of hands and feet as needed for on the job employment support activities.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both in verbal and written form. Vision standards required by Motor Vehicle Department to operate a vehicle.
Ability to work in a hot and humid environment. Protective equipment may be required.
Performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluid, or tissue.
IV Additional Qualifications Preferred:
Prior experience working with persons with disabilities and disadvantages.
Knowledge of job training methods, techniques, and principles.
Ability to communicate using sign language.
