Citi is looking for a Senior Core Java Developer required to join the regulatory development team supporting Global Credit businesses across New York, London, and Asia. This is an exciting opportunity to work on Credit regulatory related projects as well as developing some core frameworks for Credit Markets.


  • Cater to the requirements from both business as well as technology clients - offering timely solutions; developing, testing, and implementing these solutions

  • Supporting and enhancing the existing infrastructure across a variety of technologies (Java, RBDMS -Stored Procedures et al, Web Service)

  • Support the application for critical business flows such as pre-trade control.

  • Participate in the rebuilding of the platform

  • Provide innovative implementations for technical data management and business data availability requirements

  • Balancing fast time to market (client delivery) with proper governance, compliance, and audit mandates

  • Building knowledge of credit projects


Required Skills / Experience:

  • Must have a bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and 4 years of experience in offered position or closely related occupation.

  • 5+ years of strong Java development and Unix/Shell scripting skill.

  • Understanding SOAP/Restful web services, SSL, and multi-tiered distributed systems;

  • Work experience with databases schema design and troubleshooting using SQL;

  • Knowledge in credit derivatives and .Net is a plus.

  • Experience or interest in Agile development

  • Knowledge of credit derivatives or other financial products is an asset

  • Ability to work closely with teams across the globe for project development and delivery

  • Experience working on high-pressure financial industry projects and ability go the extra mile to make an impact to the business users

  • Building knowledge of credit products and helping integrate the products with the strategic credit platforms to minimize operational risk

  • Balancing fast time to market (client delivery) with proper Governance, Compliance, and Audit mandates
