PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
As part of SAP’s Consumer Industries family, you will join a team working on SAP’s Retail software portfolio. You will have the unique opportunity to work on our latest S/4 HANA offering, leveraging cutting edge technologies such as SAPUI5 & SAP HANA, our in-memory database.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As associate information developer (technical writer), you will be working in a cross functional SCRUM team and following agile software development principles. You are curious about learning new business processes and application. You will be the link between your software development team(s) and the documentation/user assistance organizations.
Key tasks include:
Responsible for writing high quality documentation in support of our customers to help them install, upgrade and best utilize our solutions
You will work very closely with software developers, product owners and translators as needed. In particular, you will help create and/or review application text labels, release notes etc. as needed
You keep your team(s) on top of its documentation deliverables and related milestones
Where possible & applicable you will identify areas where our customer facing documentation can be streamlined or better organized for easier consumption
You actively learn new technologies and business processes (ERP, Retail, Wholesale Distribution and Fashion Management)

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
University degree in technical writing or a language a related discipline (Literature, Journalism etc)
0-2 years of experience as this is an entry level developer position for a new graduate
Excellent communications skills and mastery of English both written and verbal
Experience with state of the art content management systems
Ability to work on different parallel activities and in multiple under tight deadlines
Proven ability to follow through on commitments
Local candidates preferred
The ideal candidate would be able to start by January 2017
Knowledge of several editing and/or digital content creation tools a plus
Initial technical writer experience or successful completion of an internship a plus
Agile development experience (Scrum, TDD, and Continuous Integration) is an asset
