LCC Project Manager, Site Manager, Supervisor
The Project Manager LCC oversees general and specialized installation and repairs for the various Iraq Contracts. The successful candidate will manage and supervise a team(s) of professional journeyman and apprentice tradesmen overseeing small projects for various locations in Iraq.
The Project Manager inspects work performed by tradesmen to ensure that it meets specifications, codes and established industry standards. He/she will instruct staff in company work policies and procedures. The candidate will review work orders and work order reports to ensure the tasks are completed on-time and inspects the projects to ensure all work is accomplished per the SOW.
The Project Manager along with personnel under his/her supervision will conduct inventory of current stock and order materials to ensure that supplies and equipment are available in adequate amount. The Project Manager monitors system readiness, identifies problem areas, and responds to mission requirements to perform contract requirements. He confers with staff in order to resolve performance and personnel problems. He conducts daily meetings with trades to discuss project work, client’s concerns and trade shop’s workflow.
He/she evaluates employee performance and recommends personnel actions such as salary increases, dismissal, or promotion and performs other assigned duties as required by the reporting Manager.
Experience: The Project Manager candidate must have a background in management of construction trades or similar construction practices or be trained and be proficient in framing, hanging and finishing drywall, painting, acoustical ceilings, metal door frames, hanging doors and all door hardware, VCT and carpet tiles, setting cabinets and all interior trim. Experience working on US Embassies is highly desired and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in supervision or construction management.
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management is preferred. Verifiable experience managing multiple trades in a large institutional setting or managing construction projects will be considered in lieu of 4 year degree.
Citizenship : U.S. Citizenship is required for this position
Computer Skills: Must have thorough knowledge of Cost point, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, and Visio
Language: Professional English communication skills, both written and oral.
Security Vetting: Must possess an active DOD or DOS Secret clearance and maintain the clearance or the duration of the contract
Medical: Favorable passage of a drug screen test and physical examination
Driver’s License : Must have a driver’s license from home of record (HOR) valid for duration of the contract
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of principles and processes involved in operating and supporting construction operations at an overseas location
Must have cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective
Must have the ability to be an innovative and agent for change
Must have knowledge of principles and processes to provide excellent customer service
Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment to handle multiple tasks at a given time and be able to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and schedules
The Project Manager is also qualified for the LCC Site Manager and LCC Supervisor positions.
