Responsibilities: PAE has an exciting opportunity for a System Administrator to work in India to program, integrate, migrate, and troubleshoot physical security systems. Recommends system upgrades and enhancements to the Program Manager. Participates in system upgrades and enhancements as directed by the Program Manager. Troubleshoots system performance issues and implements corrective actions. Assists Program Manager with the development of system naming conventions, engineering standards, and system operating policies and procedures. Conducts system training as required and directed by the Program Manager. Partner with physical security, corporate IT and other relevant teams.
Qualifications: At a minimum, Service Provider Personnel shall achieve and/or maintain the certification levels, as stated below. The systems below may be phased in or out of the Program, but any new system certification levels will be agreed upon at the time of phase in. CCure 9000 Access Control Enterprise DVTel Serveillance System (digital) Certified Intellex Surveillance Cameras (analog) Certified TDS Visitor management system (kiosks) Certified SendWordNow Emergency notification system Certified GFSM Keybox Key management Certified SiteIQ (and other equivalent Perimeter Intrusion Detection at data centers Certified iCam Biometrics system Certified NextLevel Badging + surveillance for standalone buildings Certified
The system administrator will demonstrate the following capabilities:
Manage physical security system support to meet service level agreements
Analyze physical security system performance and recommend improvements
Resolve complex system issues for physical security systems and networks
Triage customer support calls, providing Tier 1 help desk support and Tier 2 escalation
Communicate with customers, manufacturers, vendors and technical specialists
Train system users and other system support personnel
Analyze and modify preventive maintenance checklists for system changes
Troubleshoot system performance issues and implements corrective actions
Perform preventive maintenance actions including system back-ups, error log reviews, database size and integrity checks
Organize and prepare detailed documentation of system performance, including service request records and analysis
Perform desktop hardware and operating system set-up, imaging software loading, and antivirus updates
Perform all duties with minimal direct supervision
Specific position requirements are as follows:
Requires four (4) years of experience programming/administrating Access Control Systems
Requires eight (8) years of experience with installation, troubleshooting and testing of security electronics equipment
Requires system administrator experience in performing triage on system problems, resolving the system problems, analyzing system data to prevent problems, and implementing new workstations and system extensions
Requires a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or HS diploma/GED coupled with three (3) additional years of SA experience
Requires reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer
Requires the ability to work flexible shirts that include nights and one weekend day
Requires minimal travel
Specific desired experience, skills and certifications are as follows:
Certification in CCure 9000 Access Control System
Certification in DVTel Digital Video Systems
Experience programming/administrating Digital Video Systems
Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Server 2008 experience
Dell Storage Area Networks, Brocade and Cisco network equipment
Symantec Netbackup software
Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems
Install and load system operating software
Configure network components
Must be willing to work weekend days, and be willing to work any of the 3 shifts. 2am - 11am 10am - 7pm 5pm - 2am
Must be organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills
Must possess experience using word processing and desktop publishing application software and hardware.
Must be able to work in location listed and within the United States of America
A bachelors degree in computer programming or equivalency is required.
