Kelly Services has partnered with a National Healthcare Organization in Nashville, TN seeking an Informatics Specialist to be Responsible for analyzing, reporting, and developing recommendations on data. Uses multiple sources of data, analyzes trends, reconciles data, and identifies areas for improvement.

Compensation Range: $34.00 – 36.00 per hour

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities

Under general supervision, develops and analyzes functional and operational data, performance reports, and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies. Interprets results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to data mining. Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports. May require taking operational issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools. Make recommendations based upon data analysis. Design, develop, implement, and maintain business solutions. Validates data to ensure accuracy, quality, and integrity. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. May provide leadership to less experienced staff.


Bachelor’s degree or five years related data analyst experience. At least three years experience in data analysis and reporting. Strong skills in analytical/problem solving, communication, organization, attention to detail, working independently as well as in teams, and managing and completing multiple tasks with tight deadlines. Ability to communicate technical concepts and information to nontechnical end-users. Demonstrated experience using advanced Excel features and techniques. Experience with T-SQL and MS SQL Server. Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, medical claims data, medical authorization data, care coordination, and claims processing. Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid and various types and sources of health care information, HEDIS, financial and patient-level data files.
