PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) offering is a new comprehensive cloud infrastructure offering from SAP combined with managed services. This new offering allows customers to run their SAP HANA based applications, including SAP® Business Suite powered by SAP HANA, S/4HANA, SAP applications powered by NetWeaver and HANA®, Business Objects Enterprise (BOE/BOBJ), Data Services, SAP Fiori, and other SAP products in a managed cloud environment. We are looking for highly motivated and customer-focused team members to strengthen the HEC Architecture & Advisory team.
Act as a primary point of contact for the customers and HEC sales teams for technical topics working closely with all the other internal teams. Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for the customer on the HEC topic and its offerings.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
This is a customer facing role where you will support the sales teams during entire cycle of a HEC deal. Following are the key tasks that this role will perform:
Present HEC Technical deep dive and SAP Cloud Strategy to customers and explain all technical aspects of HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC)
Present in detail the HEC service offerings and value proposition to the customers (both technology-oriented audiences and end-users)
Support and organize technical responses to RFP / RFI’s.
Conduct detailed technical workshops (assessments) with customers (usually 1 to 2 days) to define the to-be architecture in HEC, document sizing approach, requirements, interfaces and assumptions and plan the migration roadmap together with Professional Services.
Work closely with the SAP solution architects & customers to map the planned solution architecture into the HANA Enterprise Cloud reference architecture
Blue print technology and infrastructure solutions based on customer requirements
Explain all HEC key design aspects like HA, DR, Governance, Operations and Security etc.
Generate pricing and provide ongoing deal support to sales teams.
Own the technical discussions with the customer on the HEC topic and act as the orchestrator of experts to obtain expertise from HEC organization as required
Work with delivery team for deal handover and initial build support
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Very high proficiency in customer communications and presentations is required.
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, Business Administration required from an accredited university.
Ability and willingness to undertake customer related travel on short notice.
Fluency in English, any other language an asset.
Ability to work in rapidly changing environment often times requiring short turnaround times to customer and sales requests.
Primary Skills sought:
Excellent communication, presentation and soft skills
SAP NetWeaver Technology, OS/DB, HANA Certifications are preferred and given special preference
Familiarity with common SAP solution architectures
Prior Pre-Sales experience in similar role is a plus
- 7 plus years of basis experience, One year HANA technology experience, Hosting Experience, OS & DB migration experience, Good understanding on Network, Security aspects of SAP technologies in hosted environments
- Eastern US - preferably NE
