The Liability Management Group (“LMG”) within Citi Capital Markets originates and executes a broad range of strategic fixed income solutions for Citi’s corporate, private equity, and sovereign clients. LMG designs and executes effective liability management strategies for all debt issuers, with products ranging from proactive debt repurchases and holistic debt restructurings / refinancing initiatives to covenant modification and open market repurchase initiatives. LMG sits at the intersection of Capital Markets, Investment Banking, and Sales & Trading, helping issuers create more efficient capital structures. LMG focuses primarily on three areas: emerging markets, investment grade, and high yield / distressed. Professionals in the group may focus on one of the three areas but still collaborate as a unit and work interchangeably on a variety of transactions. Offices are located in both New York and London where we cover fixed income issuers around the globe.
Ability to effectively manage and prioritize competing demands in a high paced environment
Effective balance of both quantitative and qualitative skills. Successful analysts are quick learners with an interest and ability in bond math and relevant cash flow analysis, corporate finance and excel modeling skills while also having excellent oral and written communication skills
Highly motivated, responsive, and able to work both independently and as a team player
Strong attention to detail
Bachelor's Degree required
Prior work experience is preferred but not required
