Position Information:

Citi has been on a path of continuous efficiency gains for our Operations. Since 2012, Operations has achieved significant productivity improvements through a combination of CitiLean, automation, digitization, and Resource and Location Strategy (RLS) actions.

Citi Services Strategy: 2020 (“Citi Services Strategy”) was initiated to further accelerate the transformation of Operations. We are driving to develop a differentiated, cost-effective service delivery model characterized by minimal manual intervention and aggressive adoption of new technology, such as Robotic and Cognitive Automation (“Robotics”). Successful execution of this strategy is expected to result in a significant productivity improvement and annual Operations expense reduction by 2020.

The position is a global role based in New York and will report directly to Citi Services Strategy Lead Group Manager. The person will be interacting closely with the Citi FP&A global teams, Global Business teams as well as the Citi Services Strategy leadership teams.


Business Planning and Reporting

  • Assists in preparing the Budget, Forecast, and Strategic Plan processes for the Citi Services Strategy program by liaising with Business, Finance and the Operations Leads

  • Supports in the identification and implementation of the Citi Services Strategy targets to the Business groups

  • Lead the preparation for ongoing business reviews and tracking of Citi Services Strategy implementation reporting

  • Delivers reporting and supplying data for program tracking related to Citi Services Strategy

  • Provides analytical support and recommendations to the Citi Services Strategy Finance team

Financial Analysis and Modeling

  • Manage the Citi Services Strategy economic model with clear ownership over model integrity, validation and iterative refinement of assumptions

  • Tracks performance of Citi Services Strategy initiatives against investments, productivity targets and transfers/new work

  • Provides accounting support to Citi Services Strategy Regional and Business teams, Business FP&A teams, and Citi Services Strategy Program Management on analysis, reporting, special requests, and presentations

  • Supports Finance and Operations to achieve expense, headcount, and cost transformation budget targets


Candidate should be self-motivated with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, with both the oral and written ability to distill volumes of data into a clear, crisp, and concise summary. Ability to build strong relationships and interact at various levels in the organization.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field of study, MBA a plus

  • A proven track record with 5-8 years of relevant Finance work experience and demonstrated career progression/increase in responsibilities

  • Exceptional modeling skills, with the ability to build and review complex, data intensive models

  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to deliver analyses in a concise and logical manner

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong project management skills, and a strong team player

  • Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities

  • Strong MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, ESSBASE and proficiency in reporting toolsets (ie, SAS, Microstrategy). Experience with business intelligence reporting tools a plus
