BNY Mellon Operations Strategy Specialist in New York, New York
The incumbent has responsibility for developing and ensuring the execution of the operational/business strategy for a line of businesses as assigned. The incumbent will partner with business line manger(s) and design short, medium and long-term operational improvements. The focus of this strategy will be process improvements, improvements, productivity improvements, cost structure reduction and accelerating off-shoring activities. Strategic Vision, Decision Making, Influence/Negotiation and Professional/Technical Competence.
The incumbent has responsibility for developing & ensuring the execution of the process architecture for service delivery. Reporting in to the Reengineering Group within our Performance Excellence team, the focus of this strategy will be to enable process improvements, productivity improvements, technology rationalisation, improve business continuity & risk reductions, unit cost reduction & accelerating/refining off-shoring activities. Strategic vision, decision making, influence/negotiation & professional/technical competence. Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Agile, Master Black Belt or Black Belt preferred & a knowledge of process & business architecture is essential. The incumbent will work with a non direct reporting matrix team to define, construct & execute delivery of a coherent process architecture building upon and supporting a wider enterprise business architecture framework requiring expertise in iGrafx or similar process architecture tools. The incumbent will be responsible for working at the highest levels in the organisation to increase our architectural maturity while working within service delivery to ensure both short term & long term deliverables are executed The process architecture model will encompass process mapping, value stream mapping, process meta data & will eventually establish links to application, data, product, finance & location models & taxonomies.
MBA desired and 7+ years of related experience. Strong financial (modeling) and analytical skills. Strong background in an operations or consulting on operational issues. Strong leadership skills. Ability to persuade and influence others at all levels in the organization, including the EMG and CEO. Ability to quickly adapt and act to drive change by advocating innovative solutions and new ways of thinking about solutions. Expertise in iGrafx or similar process architecture tools.
