Solution Expert - Predictive Maintenance and Service
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES :
SAP's Industry Cloud group drives competitive advantage for SAP by combining products across all markets categories into powerful end-to-end, Industry and Line of Business solutions and coordinates end-to-end execution across the different SAP functional areas. In particular, solutions experts in this area work on the commercialization strategy and go-to-market for a specific end-to-end solution.
Operational Excellence is a cross-functional group within the Extended Supply Chain department focusing on the go-to-market of solutions for the Line of Business Asset Management. We are looking for an experienced solution expert in the area of Enterprise Asset Management, specifically predictive maintenance.
SAP Predictive Maintenance and Service is a solution that is available on-premise or on SAP HANA Cloud Platform, contributing to SAP’s IoT portfolio. It helps maintenance and service engineers to remotely monitor equipment in order to predict failures, improve product quality and operational efficiency. It collects sensor data, merges it with business information, and analyzes the data to find conditions or patterns for failures.
The solution then applies data science to current data to predict when an asset will fail and applies preventive counter measures that will trigger service or maintenance activities.
The role will engage in constant communication and involvement with the software development, industry teams, field, and customers making sure SAP's solutions become successful and profitable in the market.

Ability to understand customer needs and derive market strategies.
Strong background in asset maintenance, specifically condition-based and predictive algorithms with the ability to extend into other areas, like overall asset management.
Good presentation, communication and negotiation skills, written and spoken. German speaking skills welcome, but not a must.
Willingness to dive into new concepts, new processes, new business environment.
Strong attitude to drive solutions into successful market adoption.
WORK EXPERIENCE :
MBA or Masters in a topic relating to asset management, engineering, or science.
Practical domain expertise in asset management related jobs or predictive methodology.
Affiliation to information technology.
5 to 10 years of professional experience post degree.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES :
Establish trusted relationships with key customer accounts to understand their needs and ensure their success with SAP
Analyze the software vendor market and SAP customer base to understand the business potential for SAP solutions
Create business cases including market requirements documents and develop a strategy and investment plan to realize market potential for SAP solutions
Define and execute go-to-market activities and ensure delivery of end-to-end solutions that address current and future customer needs for software
Conduct field enablement for pre-sales, value engineering, and sales across all regions while supporting demand generation activities like conferences, webinars, etc.
Support specific deal cycles on a global basis, but with a specific focus on either North America or central Europe
