Financials & Governance Lead-Marketing COO

In collaboration with controlling, provides support and resources across Marketing to ensure adherence to our financial and corporate policies and objectives by providing guidance, information, training and oversight.

  • Develop and give guidance to teams in achieving overall marketing excellence in the Financial & Governance objectives.

  • Manage the development and documentation of workflow processes

  • Oversee project/processes management across different functional/regional teams to improve attainment of strategic Financial & Governance goals

  • Manage teams performing Financials and Governance activities directly and support the teams that are indirectly connected with the same strategic objectives.

  • Support professional development and training to all Marketing professionals connected to the processes

  • Work closely with Marketing Leadership Team to provide recommendations, guidance and support to the optimization of the Financial decisions and improvement on the compliance levels to all policies, rules and regulations that govern the Marketing Business within SAP.

Key senior managerial responsibilities:

  • Manage managers of teams or organizations

  • Conduct Performance and Reward Management processes (leveraging the relevant tools and systems)

  • Set objectives and development plans, review performance, and provide feedback on a regular basis

  • Support employees' career aspirations and facilitate the transition of employees into their desired roles

  • Interpret employees’ behaviors and motivators to coach, empower, and enable

  • Understand, embrace, and cascade the company strategy to build organizations and empower managers

  • Build open, honest relationships with senior-level peers and share feedback from these peers with own department staff to foster a dialogue of ongoing feedback within SAP

  • Develop the next level of leaders by effectively delegating management activities, encouraging stretch goals and expecting department wins to be shared/recognized/rewarded to ensure a solid SAP management pipeline

  • Ensure effective management of the employee life cycle by actively participating in recruitment, selection, performance, succession planning, development, and transition activities

  • Understand and leverage relevant SAP HR and People tools and strategies that apply to individuals and teams

  • Minimum 10 years of marketing operations experience

  • Executive leadership in a marketing function, preferably in a global organization

  • Marketing strategy development and planning

  • Project leadership (large-scale projects)

  • Minimum 5 years leading/developing employees

  • Minimum 5 years coaching and managing at the managerial/executive level

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required

  • MBA/Master's degree or equivalent preferred
