Material Operations (MATOPS) is a regulatory compliant services operation that is responsible for the safe and secure Receiving, Storage, Shipping and Transport of Genzyme materials and products. MATOPS is also responsible for Trade Compliance, Hazardous Materials, Import/Export, Inventory Control, Distribution Center Operations, Third-Party Logistic Providers, and other Value-Added Services.
POSITION OVERVIEW/KEY RESPONSIBILTIES\
Responsible for finished goods distribution.
Key responsibilities include:
Pick, pack, and prepare sales orders according to specific SOP's
Complete complex shipments and associated documentation/transportation paperwork
Load and unload delivery vehicles and assemble stock onto pallets, warehouse trucks, racks, or shelves
Pick and prepare work orders according to SOPs
Perform cycle counts
Operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment
Store, transfer and distribute material according to specific material requirements
Comply with regulatory compliance within Genzyme
Utilize ERP system to process shipping transactions, perform inventory inquiries and determine root cause analysis pertaining to inventory/sales order discrepancies
Perform other duties as assigned
High School Diploma or GED
1-3 year of related experience
Basic knowledge of computer operations
Basic math skills
Experience with warehouse operations
Experience with material handler equipment, including order pickers, reach trucks, and fork trucks
Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime and weekends
Knowledge of general warehouse and inventory control
Prior experience working in cGMP environment
