This position is based at Instron’s Electro-Mechanical (EM) equipment division located in Norwood, Massachusetts.
This is a key role within the Divisional Leadership team responsible for:
Oversight of the day-to-day financial operations and processes including AP, AR, Inventory/Cost Accounting, payroll, and support.
The preparation and submission of monthly financial statements and the financial analysis of results. Provide variance explanations for actuals compared to plan, forecast and prior year.
Managing the financial planning and forecasting processes. Delivering accurate and timely monthly financial forecasts. Providing measurable and accurate financial targets to evaluate the performance of the business.
Leading, driving and implementing changes to simplify processes and eliminate complexity within the business that will enhance financial performance.
Contributing to the creation and implementation of strategic plans.
Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance combined with at least 8 years experience in financial reporting and analysis, cost reduction, inventory costing and control, operational accounting, financial statement management and team leadership.
