The Senior Compliance Analyst- Mortgage Testing is a member of Compliance Testing and is responsible for performing risk-based testing within the consumer business in order to provide senior management with comprehensive end-to-end assessments of the North America Consumer regulatory control environment as well as compliance with governing regulations and internal policies related to this business.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Lead and/or support non-complex Compliance Testing processes and activities in accordance with the Global Compliance Testing standards.

  • Recognize, document, and assess key risks, control environments, and applicable consumer regulations.

  • Utilize strong Compliance testing review programs and effective testing strategies.

  • Effectively use data analysis to assist in testing approach and completion.

  • Complete of audit program steps in accordance with the Global Testing standards and in a timely and efficient manner, including preparation of clear and concise workpaper documentation supporting audit tests.

  • Work in partnership with Product Compliance Partners ensuring a collaborative risk assessment approach.

  • Complete key compliance testing team projects assigned.

  • Create clear, well supported draft reports with findings and recommendations.

Development Opportunities: Advancement opportunities include promotion into a C 13 vice-president role within the Compliance testing team; lateral moves or promotional opportunity into a Compliance Advisory role; movement to compliance testing positions throughout the Consumer Compliance Testing Unit; movement into risk positions within BUSA or US Retail and Commercial Banking such as Operational Risk Management.


  • Bachelor Degree required.

  • 5+ years of mortgage servicing related experience preferred.

  • 5+ years related Compliance, Audit and/or Control oversight work experience required, preferably within Mortgage industry.

  • Knowledgeable of functions and processes within the Mortgage lending industry.

  • Knowledgeable of federal and state real estate lending regulations.

  • Ability to obtain, evaluate and interpret information and reach logical, fact-based conclusions.

  • Strong experience in developing senior and executive level reporting and presentations.

  • Fully knowledgeable and capable of developing and executing on various non-complex compliance and control testing and related activities.

  • Work collaboratively with the Compliance Testing members and other Risk and Control partners.

  • Sound communication and influencing skills during negotiation processes with clients and interactions with people at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills for writing reports, presentations and performing data analysis.

  • Self-starter and organized and have the ability to work independently, with some supervision.
