The Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at Ogden Regional Medical Center assists the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in planning, administering, and directing the activities of the Nursing Department. In addition to providing oversight for clinical projects, the Assistant CNO directly supervises delegated clinical departments and nursing support departments. The Assistant CNO works with his/her direct reports to ensure positive quality outcomes, facilitate systems that enhance excellent customer service, and ensure adherence to nursing quality practice standards. In addition, the Assistant CNO may be delegated CNO duties and authority when the CNO is absent from the facility.


A. Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Current Utah RN license in good standing (Compact RN - When a nurse changes primary state of residence by moving from one compact state to another, the nurse can practice in the new state on the former license for up to 90 days. The 90 days starts when the nurse becomes a resident in the new state). Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider.

B. Education:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; post-graduate degree in applicable field (i.e. Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business) required, or proof of active participation in accredited program with established completion date within two years.

C. Experience:

Requires prior clinical experience (at least 5 years) and 3 years nursing leadership experience. Must have sufficient experience to have a strong understanding of the hospital and healthcare delivery system.
