INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY / PATENT PARALEGAL
A local intellectual property law firm is looking for a Patent Paralegal. If you want to join a law firm that has been established for over two decades this is a great opportunity.
Duties of this intellectual property / patent paralegal position Include:
•Processing incoming mail for upcoming responses
•Calculating and keeping track of deadlines for patent prosecution and patent drafting
•Preparing templates and related materials
•Communicating with clients on a regular basis and ensuring complete satisfaction
•Proofing and uploading documents for filing with the USPTO
•Supporting multiple attorneys with both legal and non-legal tasks, including calendaring deadlines, scheduling meetings, and making travel arrangements
Required Qualifications for this intellectual property / patent paralegal position:
•2-5+ years patent prosecution experience
•Detail-oriented, highly motivated, and able to multitask while working independently
•Ability to communicate in an effective and friendly manner with clients, attorneys, foreign associates, and government offices
•Domestic and Foreign Patent Knowledge
•Familiarity with USPTO systems including PAIR, EFS, and EPAS
•Knowledge of US and PCT patent rules and procedures, and the ability to find applicable rules when new issues arise
