Job Description:


This position is responsible for developing and maintaining credit risk policies and strategies for the Commercial Banking and Commercial Card Credit Risk area in Consumer Banking. This individual will optimize acquisition and customer management strategies to promote profitability and support the defined credit risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Independently initiate, conduct, and manage complex credit risk projects, including project design, data collection and analysis, presentation of recommendations, and implementation support.

  2. Train new and cross-train existing employees on roles and responsibilities.

  3. Monitor and evaluate performance of existing credit risk strategies and develop new strategies by analyzing and evaluating large data volumes and utilizing various statistical and analytical techniques and tools.

  4. Lead/manage implementation of new and modified strategies, working with cross-functional areas to ensure successful implementation.

Job Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or equivalent experience, master's degree preferred

  2. 5+ years of Credit experience in Policy and/or Risk Management in relation to the credit industry

  3. Proven ability to manage work independently and work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment

  4. Minimum 3 years of experience using SAS and/or SQL to extract and manipulate data for reporting or data analysis

  5. Minimum 3 years of proven statistical analysis and/or MIS experience

  6. Knowledge of credit scoring and credit bureaus

Additional Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of Credit Card Business Model

  2. Credit Card Industry Experience

  3. Knowledge of credit systems
