Job Description:


Role Description: Responsible for developing and maintaining acquisitions and portfolio account management policies and strategies for the Consumer Card portfolio in order to optimize portfolio credit risk and profitability and ensure strategies support defined credit risk appetite.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Independently initiate, conduct, and manage complex credit risk projects, including project design, data collection, analysis,

summarization, presentation of results and recommendations, and implementation support

  1. Monitor and evaluate performance of existing credit risk strategies and develop new strategies by analyzing and evaluating large

data volumes and utilizing various statistical and analytical techniques and tools

  1. Lead/manage implementation of new and modified strategies, working with cross functional areas to ensure successful


· Work with Technical/Programming groups to ensure alignment between developed strategy and implemented


· Work with Compliance team to ensure new strategies as well as strategy changes are implemented in accordance

with applicable laws and regulations

· Provide necessary process/procedural direction and impact analysis to Operations staff

· Obtain and maintain necessary documentation and approvals

· Develop and implement appropriate monitoring

  1. Train new employees and cross-train existing on all roles and functions and compliance/regulatory requirements/changes

  2. Lead weekly team meetings and manage monthly communication meetings with Senior Management as needed.

Job Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or equivalent experience

1-3 years of experience in Credit Policy and/or Risk Management in relation to credit industry

3+ years of experience in Credit Risk Analytics or other related Analytics

1-3 years experience using SAS and/or SQL to extract and manipulate data for reporting or data analysis

Knowledge of credit scoring and credit bureaus

Proven ability to manage work independently and work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment

Ability to present recommendations and influence senior management

Expert knowledge of Excel

Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills

Demonstrated ability to handle stress, meet deadlines and work independently Additional Qualifications: Understanding of Consumer Credit Card business model

Knowledge of Credit Systems (Example: ACAPS, TRIAD, ACS) and Credit Scoring

1 - 3 years experience working with predictive analytical modeling software (Example: Model Builder for Decision Trees, Xeno, FICO Predictive Analytics)
