In this high profile role, the District Manager, Medical Dermatology, will be responsible for the hiring, developing, and retaining of Specialty Representatives in their assigned district. The DM is responsible for ensuring strong and consistent sales performance that exceeds product forecast while managing the Districts operation within expense guidelines. The DM will facilitate appropriate development and retention of key personnel and work closely with senior management to enable overall divisional growth. The DM will supervise with an assigned region with 8 – 12 direct reports with an average of 4 field days per week. The DM ensures region sales, marketing plan execution, employee hiring, training, development, legal compliance and expense management are maintained as per guidance. The DM effectively and appropriately utilizes resources, promotional or other, when required and appropriate to maximize the effectiveness to the customer. The DM manages region profile and loss; and, develops and maintains key customer relationships to ensure the overall success of the medical dermatology product line. The DM also conducts meetings, conference calls and co-rides as required, to communicate or meet business objectives.
The employee must conduct their work activities in compliance with all Allergan internal requirements and with all applicable regulatory requirements. Allergan internal requirements include compliance with ethics, environmental health and safety, financial, human resources, and general business policies, requirements and objectives.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelors Degree or equivalent
· 3+ years Documented, Proven Track Record of Sales Success utilizing
strong consultative and persuasive selling skills
· Pharmaceutical Sales Experience within multi specialties is strongly preferred
· Valid driver’s license
Essential Skills and Abilities:
· Proven ability to develop key sales strategies and business plans and to
execute those plans to achieve desired sales results.
· Strong negotiating and problem resolution skills.
· Ability to travel overnight.
· Ability to lift 25 pounds unassisted.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Capability to interface
effectively with all customer types and levels of management.
· Ability to function effectively in a high performance team. Exhibit a high degree
of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing environment.
· Strong organizational and prioritization skills. Highly self-directed.
· Strong relationship building skills
· Capacity to manage budgets, expenses and execute marketing plans
