PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Enhances client experience and promotes client retention and growth through the effective management of sponsor-related projects including, but not limited to, the development and execution of communications strategies and programs for clients, prospects, and intermediary channels.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Leads or assists with projects and provides direction to associates in shared service groups (e.g., Creative, Legal, Marketing Operations, Marketing Services)to ensure communications programs are sufficiently designed and communicated to our internal and external clients. Works as a consultative partner with our internal customers to define communications needs and then translating those needs into a Creative Brief/Marketing plan for the Creative Team. Interacts with Creative, Legal, and EPO teams to ensure they have the needed information and direction to deliver on the communication project. Works with internal customers to secure buy-in/approval at appropriate points during the life of a project. This includes making presentations and trying to persuade certain outcomes.

Develops and executes client, prospect and intermediary communications including mass marketing mailings and campaigns, legally required and critical communications, conference call and webinar invitations, surveys, and other standardized, periodic, and/or ad hoc communications.

Supports educating internal stakeholders so they can better serve key customers. This includes leading or assisting with the rollout of new products and services to internal and external customers. Develops written and in-person training and meeting materials and coordinates delivery with the trainer/presenter.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • College degree and 1 year of related work experience, or Associate degree and 3 years related work experience, or High School diploma/equivalent and 5 years related work experience required

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of marketing concepts and experience developing both strategic and tactical marketing communications and collateral with an emphasis on electronic channels

  • Client service oriented

  • Detail oriented

  • Demonstrated project management and advanced consultative skills

  • Ability to multitask; manage several different projects of varying scope

  • Ability to collaborate, gather data and make a decision (quickly if necessary)

  • Must show enthusiasm and the desire to work with clients

  • Proficient in PC utilization, especially Microsoft tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Comfortable interacting with clients and prospects

  • Demonstrated ability to look across the organization for creative solutions and ideas to improve current processes and procedures and enhance the engagement of our external and internal clients

  • Self-motivated and self-directed, though able to work effectively as a team member

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing and communications with 5 years in the financial services industry

  • Previous client facing experience

  • Experienced project manager

  • Knowledge of retirement plan industry
