PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Executive in this role will lead the overall sales and business development for T. Rowe Price Individual Investors business. This includes:
Generating new sales of T. Rowe Price products by acquiring new clients and expanding relationship with existing clients.
Developing sales strategy, operating model and organization.
Leading a business development organization (branch office, call center and other channels)
Partnering with Marketing and other peers to deliver business topline growth.
Drive results. Has direct accountability for long and short-term strategy and execution of business unit gross sales goals, new client acquisitions and expanding client AUM and NNFs.
Lead organization of investment specialists and sales associates (and their leaders) that provides concierge service and advice to clients primarily through the telephone. Deepen relationships through Investment Specialists with existing clients through positioning the appropriate solutions and broad product offering. Additionally, lead the team of Investment Managers who work to grow their practice through client referrals, marketing events, asset consolidation and proactive calling to prospects. Sales associates partner with marketing to drive sales and new client acquisitions.
Directs and oversees organization's sales strategies, policies, objectives, and initiatives. Sets short- and long-term sales strategies and evaluates effectiveness of current programs. Recommends product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. Offers extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Recruit, develop and retain top sales talent and sales leadership. Establish sales coaching standards and processes. Continually assess organization talent level to improve performance and effectiveness. Raise standards and help foster a diverse and inclusive environment and high performance culture
Participate as member of Individual Investors leadership team to establish business strategy, create value for clients, lead change, and help drive organization effectiveness.
Graduate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Series 7, 24, 63 license is required
Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification is preferred
Bachelor’s degree and minimum of fifteen years successful financial services sales leadership experience working with retail clients, with demonstrated success in leading sales/business development organization.
Past experience in leading business unit or major business line in financial services with P&L responsibility.
Proven track record of driving and meeting ambitious sales goals and other business results.
Recognized in industry as a leader in developing and managing sales organizations to consistently meet and exceed goals.
Past experience leading strategy development, initiatives planning and execution for large, complex financial services organization.
Verified ability to execute and implement a strategic, quantifiable business case.
Demonstrated track record of governing over large budget ($50m+ in operating expense and/or technology portfolio).
Strong industry, market, investor, competitor and product knowledge.
Complete knowledge and practice of industry rules, regulations and compliance protocols.
Excellent consultative, interpersonal and communication skills.
