PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Education Chief Operating Officer is responsible, together with the MD, for achieving the top and bottom line results for the market unit. The COO is expected to be the “right hand” of the MD in all operational topics, ensuring that strategic plans are built and executed against, that software pipeline is sufficient to meet and exceed budgeted revenue targets, that budgeted resources are allocated in the most efficient way to maximize market coverage and penetration without exceeding budgeted costs, and that the underlying processes supporting the business are continuously improved and enhanced to minimize cost and bureaucracy while maximizing customer attention and support.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
You will be:
Responsible for developing a vision, building a road map for large scale projects & programs, identifying partners and finally coordinating the execution of major projects, programs and initiatives for Business Operations at a regional and Hub level.
Provides leadership and team development, coaching, and facilitation.
Bears responsibility for selecting and growing talent and motivating them towards excellence in execution of plans.
Defines annual business objectives and creates momentum through articulation of strategy, and sponsorship of programs for achieving of goals.
Directs the design, planning, and implementation of (business) development/change programs, policies, processes, standards and procedures or technologies.
Has the authority to make decisions and recommendations of a broad nature based on general guidelines
Works with a cross functional team of direct and indirect reports and is responsible for aligning functions from Sales enablement, pre sales, operations, infrastructure, and technology.
Drives team behavior through cadence driven business practices.
Aims for business scalability through initiatives such as simplification and standardization of processes and associated infrastructure.
Skilled on Business Planning, revenue planning, industry and product segmentation, Mergers and Acquisitions and post merger integration
Oversees the coordination activities to develop a coherent vision around a relevant project and program for regional operations and provides guidance to HUB Presidents on strategy and execution
Works as a trusted advisor to the president leadership team
Oversees and leads project execution and coordinates the team and/or consortium to reach goals on time and on budget
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
University degree, MBA will be an asset
Ability to “Think out of the box”
Solution oriented approach, used to work in complex environment
Excellent communication and networking skills
High level of flexibility and energy, self-starter
Demonstrated success with complex, long-cycle sales campaigns in a fast-paced, consultative and competitive market.
Proven abilities on managing highly complex programs and applying risk-mitigation strategies to internal and external customer
Demonstrated ability to communicate a vision across lines of business.
Business level English: Fluent
12 years of overall sales and/or business operations experience preferably with enterprise business applications
Experience in a management consultancy would be an asset
Excellent leadership skills and ability to motivate people under complex circumstances
