Purpose and Objective: SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Development Manager at our Palo Alto, CA location and various client sites nationwide to proactively act to understand business needs and offer solutions that align across business units. Responsible for the vision of teams.

Expectations and Tasks: Gain strategic understanding of how the group's technology contribute to the product strategy. Support cross topics outside of management scope. Drive and actively participate in the Continuous Improvement Process (CIP). Actively drive Customer Collaboration aligned with PO. Contribute as a management stakeholder to long-living, maintainable, high quality components that can easily be integrated to a product. Build action plans and make operational decisions on policies, tactics, and resources critical to the function's business success to ensure delivery against strategy of the function or team. Ensure strategy roll-out into own team/organization. Create an environment of continuous learning and improvement. Actively seeks to coach and help with personal development. Regularly offer feedback in an effort to help others develop. Support others in setting challenging development goals. Responsible for management and advancement of individuals and teams. Responsible for building a high performing team concerning engineering and social aspects. This includes hiring the best people from within/outside the company, fostering motivation and integration of employees as well as team learning and development. Actively address and resolve team issues. Set clear goals with team members, and inspire and support members towards accomplishing goals. Evaluate goal achievement in a fair and understandable way. 10% travel required.

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related and 7 years of experience required. Will accept a Master’s degree and 5 years of experience.

Work Experience: Experience must involve prototyping new applications using SAP HANA and Performance analysis; implementation of synchronous and asynchronous SOAP web services; and building automated performance analysis tools. Experience must involve at least 5 years in the following: building enterprise grade software in a hi-tech industry using Agile development methodology; building CRM cloud based solutions on ABAP stack; End-2-End performance analysis of CRM applications; building Reusable Application frameworks which will be used by different applications. Experience must involve at least 2 years in the following: integrating SAP cloud and on-Premise systems; building model based frameworks. 10% travel required.
