WHO WE ARE:
We at Innovation Center Network are a multidisciplinary team of designers, product managers, and developers who work with SAP’s global strategic customers in all industries and in all regions to explore, identify, and realize new breakthrough scenarios through rapid focused customer engagements to unearth customer’s latent needs, drive platform adoption, and create new product opportunities for SAP.
We are not a standard product team inside SAP with a defined roadmap; we are a part accelerator and a part incubator inside SAP constantly challenging the status quo and finding whitespace opportunities to create new compelling experiences that would the future of enterprise software.
We’re looking for an UX/Interaction Designer intern with a human-centered mindset to help imagine, create, and drive the next generation of user experiences for SAP customers. Whether observing users, co-creating with customers, or working with fellow team members in our multi-disciplinary team, you are passionate about representing the human perspective in design and should have skills in bringing this passion to life for the team. You love tricky problems, big ideas, happy users, and travel around the world to work with other SAP teams and customers. You’re not a conformist and constantly challenge the status quo to find a breakthrough.
Currently enrolled in Bachelors or Masters Degree in HCI, Interaction or other Design-related field.
Exposure to human-centered and/or participatory methods of design to identify unmet customer, market and institutional needs with demonstrated track record of creating new design concepts to meet those needs
Basic understanding of design tools and methods such as conducting user research, interviews and workshops; undertaking internal and external research activities; generating conceptual frameworks and formulating insights related to the synthesis of the research data; creating tangible, compelling design expressions that communicate vision, and help our colleagues develop great solutions
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Beginner to intermediate proficiency in tools such as Adobe Illustrator, In Design, and Photoshop

Designing applications and solutions that balance user needs, commercial interests, and technological constraints
Working in diverse work cultures and not afraid of diverse and bold ideas.
Planning and conducting qualitative research
Synthesizing large bodies of research data to provide insights, identify opportunities, and generate conceptual frameworks.
Working in an ambiguous and dynamic environment and comfortable with non-hierarchical organizations
Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams of designers, product managers, and developers
Collaborating with large number of people on your design journey and wanting to go the extra mile to ensure your vision and your design turns into reality
Creating and using prototypes to learn and improve your ideas
Facilitating workshops with our customers to discover their business needs
Nurturing, developing and inspiring your team to become better designers and produce great results
Seeking out opportunities for self-development
Being an advocate and having hunger to discuss our design work being done, both within SAP and to an outside audience
Presenting and speaking to a large audience in high-visibility situations
Traveling globally, when needed.
