The Partner Recruiting Specialist supports the North American channel expansion initiatives by assisting with the identification and development of a pipeline of prospective SME partners in order to grow SAP’s software license revenue. The target is to extend the ecosystem of SAP, to find partners within the scope of a well-defined partner strategy, and to assist in the recruitment process. The position reports to a leader in the SAP NA Partner Management Team and is aligned to a specific solution. The position will work collaboratively with an extended team that includes global recruitment teams, Inside and Field sales (Account Executives), marketing, development, product management and technical resources - as one SAP.


The focus of the Partner Recruiting Specialist position is to assist in growing SAP’s ecosystem into the areas aligned to the North America channel expansion strategy. This will be accomplished by identifying and assisting in the recruiting of scalable, financially-healthy partners, as well as, by raising the activity-level of existing partners using new SAP Go-to-Market partner models.

The Partner Recruiting Specialist will be responsible for the following:

  • Assist in the identification of partner white space / market undercoverage by working with various solution GTM, Sales, and Partner Management leaders

  • Assist in the development of SAP’s ecosystem value proposition and to deliver that message to prospective partners

  • Assist in evaluating the market to identify potential partners (SAP ecosystem, competitive resellers, ISVs) based on SAP sales team needs

  • Develop and perform active outbound demand generation activities using social media, email, and phone calls to maintain an active pipeline of propsective partners

  • Coordinate recruitment activities with prospective partners and senior SAP recruiters

  • Support the orchestration of the recruitment process as it relates to SAP administrative and system requirements

  • Coordinate with the senior recruiters on the partner qualification process and with following up on leads according to the ideal partner profile

  • Assist in the development of prospective partner business plans with candidates and to obtain sign-off from SAP stakeholders (under the direction of the Senior Recruiter).

  • Qualify inbound demand and provide nurturing activities where required


  • Minimum of 5 years of overall business experience with 3 years experience in partner business related roles

  • Understanding the principles of solution & cloud selling through Partners

  • Knowing or having successful experience in multi-channel go-to-market models

  • Knowledge and understanding of Partner dynamics

  • Effective communication and virtual presentation skills at a mid-level / executive level

  • High energy - brings innovative ideas to the team and champions best practices

  • Proven capability to work in a team and collaborate; with independent accountability

  • Local market knowledge and understanding (software industry, trends, vertical market industries, etc.

  • Business level English


  • BA or higher degree in IT/ business/ economy or another related field.

  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Very detailed oriented, with good time management and organizational skills.

  • Able to operate in complex matrix environment of SAP and US Market Units.

  • Strong value system for building trust, alignment and engagement across the organization

  • Ability to perform and remain objective and stable under pressure and stressful conditions, maintaining high levels of energy, ethics, communication, transparency and leadership.
