This role is responsible for a targeted go-to-market (GTM) approach by Market Unit and Industry for the public security sector, focused particularly on policing and security in France, and also in Spain, Italy, EMEA region... Effective individual will create strategies, project plans and sales initiatives to on-board the sales team, pilot/ test operational processes, integrate into appropriate region marketing initiatives and drive revenue.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:
Business Development Expert – Public Security EMEA h/f
We are looking for an experienced candidate with an extensive background in European Policing, Intelligence and Borders to:-
Drive the execution of growth plans across the Public Security market in EMEA,
Execute business development activities and create drive complete cycles from suspect to customer, with a focus on early stages of the commercial cycle
Define our competitive advantage and establish the key reasons for customers and prospects to leverage on premise and cloud deployment models and other innovative technologies to achieve strategic business objectives,
To guide efforts to develop local capabilities as a member of the Public Security SWAT team
Enable market leadership to respond most quickly to growth opportunities.
Drive syndication of best practice programs, tools, methods and processes to accelerate profitable performance and market penetration. Identify, evaluate and execute on investment opportunities.
Area 1: Serve as a member of professional business development “virtual” team delivering results across a target market in a best-in-class manner, leveraging the broader organization. Recruiting global and regional resources and partners to drive programs and initiatives.
Area 2: Create access for SAP to decision makers and influencers in the target market. Conduct all needed activities (cold calling, networking, reference based introductions, subject matter content delivery, …) to open a credible conversation on the SAP capabilities to solve their problems
Area 3: Ensure new deals and revenue programs can be commercialized and are executable in a target market. Focus on driving profitable revenue results, executing on revenue generating deals and programs and developing and fostering related commercialization capabilities in a target market.
Area 4: Place a premium on execution and generating results in support of the target market business plan. Develop creative, workable alternatives to enable opportunities. Work effectively in a team environment and generate high impact results. Ramp-up scalable revenue programs. Focus on the highest value priorities and tactfully push through resistance to change.
Tasks: Ensure that work streams are delivered on scope, on budget and on time and will coordinate periodic status meetings and be responsible for detailed status reporting to applicable global, regional, local leadership. Responsible for identifying performance improvement ideas and working with the leadership to implement the ideas. Coordinate with the global teams on other operational topics such as communications, budget, resource planning and tools, 3rd party partnership negotiations and defining contractual obligations
10 years working experience with high volume/ high transaction technology solutions or consulting background, software and services preferred with previous extesnive background in public security domain (Police - National security - Ministry of Justice - intelligence services)
5 years project management experience a plus
5 years Director / management experience with proven record of excellent performance.
Strong background in this domain with a proven record of contacts and understanding of complex decision-making processes.
Track record and proven success in influence and change management
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES :
BA or BS degree or equivalent, MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Ability to navigate in complex landscapes and to build networks; must be able to engage and build liaisons at the executive level.
Team player with demonstrated interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively and effectively with a variety of people and cultures at different organizational levels, both face-to-face and virtually in public security domain.
Demonstrated ability to develop project timelines
Demonstrated financial acumen
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be fluent in English (verbal and written) & bilingual French, Spanish and/or Italian a plus.
