Position Description:

This role will work in the Operations team under limited supervision, will ensure that customer’s processing requirements are met by carrying out these responsibilities by providing computer systems availability and accuracy.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Provide operational support in a multi-platform environment ( Windows, UNIX) by executing and validating all scheduled and ad hoc events and procedures, including transaction recording, file upload/download verification, event monitoring, network monitoring, etc.

• Provide support in patch management for all clients. This includes scheduling, executing and validating.

Perform scheduled Change Records per CGI Process.

Maintain reports by printing and distributing daily reports, and maintain activity logs.

• Support Data Center by the upkeep of the facility and its contents contacting appropriate service personnel as necessary.

• Provide timely and accurate information to appropriate IT staff by notifying them in the event of production problems

• Assist in troubleshooting of production related issues

• Ensure job satisfaction and development by recommending standards, procedures and process improvements.

• Develop department by providing direction/training to peers and less experienced staff.

• Provide staffing support during staff shortages (PTO, etc.)

• Other duties as assigned

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Secondary schooling in computer operations.

• Minimum of 7 years of computer operations experience in a multiplatform environment (Windows, UNIX)

• Ability to follow procedures and maintain business records of activities.

• Demonstrated proficiency in operational support and associated tools such as automated scheduler (Tivoli Workload Scheduler preferred) and document management (Mobius preferred) and network monitoring.

• Ability to work as a team player and individually.

• Demonstrates initiative for continued learning and willingness to accept new challenges.

• Displays enthusiasm.

• Superior customer service skills


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Able to work in close proximity with electro-mechanical and magnetic devices

• Must be available for other shifts, including weekends, if necessary

• Occasional overnight travel, in most cases by air.
