The incumbent will be responsible for operational support for a Treasury Operations product or service for customers of the line of business that they support (FX, Derivatives, Corporate Treasury, London Treasury, MFM LLC, and MIB). They will perform transaction processing, portfolio (or trading book) administration, and customer service on high value often complex transactions that on average are notionally valued at $1.5mm or more. They may perform daily reconciliations identifying exceptions and quickly resolving them in a well-controlled fashion to insure the integrity and quality of the service. He/She must excel in accurate and timely processing with high standards of quality, operating with tight intra day deadlines while insuring processing is authorized and well controlled. Settlement of transactions typically involves wire transfers, SWIFT, or security settlements with depositories including the Fed, DTC, NSCC, and other agents. An in depth knowledge of settlement is required. The incumbent must have analytical skills to insure that processing is accurate, timely, and complete; as well as making certain all exceptions are properly handled. Books and records information must be proactively maintained to insure the integrity of processing high value transactions and information reporting meets all relevant regulatory industry and compliance requirements including OCC, Fed, NASD, BIS, CLS, FXC, FSA, MSRB, and SEC.
The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and excel in accuracy and attention to details. The incumbent will have 2 years or more of banking or related experience with financial services products. He/she must have experience and understanding of payments or securities settlement and a proficiency in understanding a proper control environment and adhering to best practices.
