As part one of the safest and most trusted financial institutions, the BNY Mellon Legal department mitigates risk and handles legal affairs to ensure the security of the company and its clients. BNY Mellon's Legal Department, has overall responsibility for government affairs and advises on advocacy and policy initiatives of the company to support BNY Mellon's domestic and international operations, and they also support all bank regulatory and supervisory issues.


Plans, organizes, implements, and oversees execution and successful completion of multiple, complex projects required for a global Business Partner. Establishes project participants with their primary roles within the designated projects. Coordinates activities of participants from other Business Partners/Businesses to escalate and or resolve issues, maintain scheduled activities and achieve project goals. Manages communication with the Business Partner senior leadership. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Drive the collection, documentation and completion of deliverables across multiple projects

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation such as status reports and case age reports, action logs, presentation materials, spreadsheets, project dashboards

  • Manage agendas and meeting recaps/minutes to ensure all project tasks and goals are being accomplished as expected

  • Facilitate the storage and update of project materials and information in a project management system

  • Assist in providing overall project communication to stakeholders and management of stakeholder expectations, including preparation of presentations for the various project and business leads

  • Participate in project status meetings and other internal/external project-related meetings

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key personnel in each functional area

  • Creation of process flows for process analysis

Additionally, the role may involve process design, global footprint strategy, risk mitigation, organizational design, application or support tool selection / development / enhancement, role and accountability updates, and any associated changes to the business process. He/she is responsible for timely, effective reporting of project progress, risks, problems and accomplishments.


Bachelor Degree and MBA preferred. 8+ years of project management experience. Minimum five years of experience managing cross-organizational projects in a complex global services environment preferred. Project Management Institute Project Management (PMP) and Program Management Professional (PgMP ) certifications are pluses.
