Local Portland client based in Portland is looking for a talented Billing Supervisor to join their team! Compensation: DOE Responsibilities: In conjunction and collaboration with Billing Manager: o On-board, train, and mentor new and current team members on technical skills and operational process. o Identify on-going team member training needs to provide appropriate training and mentoring o Ensure work is allocated to the team based upon account needs, staff experience, and expertise & interest o Create team and individual goals in alignment with departmental and organizational goals o Measure outcomes related to technical skills, quality and productivity, and develop additional measures as needed o Complete and conduct performance reviews o Develop and implement coaching and performance improvement plans as needed o Complete and conduct 90 day evaluation for new employees o Develop skills, and the skills of their team members in processes related to OCHIN Billing Services functions o Works with OBS clinics to develop and set effective billing and collection policies and procedures. Qualifications: - Minimum three (3) years of progressive growth in Medical Billing field - Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory or leadership roles within teams highly preferred - Strong leadership skills with the focus on bringing people together to execute needs - Strong communication skills not only speaking and delivering messages clearly - Ability to train team members on how to be successful within the organization and deliver objectives - Strong judgment and decision making skills (i.e. the judgment of when to delegate tasks and when to roll up your sleeves and work with the team to get it done) - Strong people management skills, including conflict resolution and facilitation - Ability to recognize and reward team memberS accomplishments accordingly - Ability to provide a high level of customer service to the members/customers Strong systems thinking ability - Previous primary care medical billing experience (preferably in an FQHC or RHC setting) and extensive - Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid Billing regulations required. - Associates or BachelorS degree preferred - Must have a minimum of high school diploma or equivalent - Knowledge of and experience with Epic practice management system preferred - Must have a commitment to quality healthcare and excellent customer service - Knowledge of billing, accounts receivable and collection processes - Knowledge of medical terminology - Legal requirements of State, Federal and County policies, procedures and regulations related to billing and collection activity and the release of confidential patient information, including HIPAA requirements - CCPC and CDC Certificate desired If you would like to apply please send a Word version of your resume to
