We, the database group at Innovation Center Potsdam, are looking for smart and energetic students to help us design and build SAP’s future database products.


Design, implement, test, and document functional or performance enhancements for a new large-scale data management system

Work with a globally distributed engineering team to diagnose, discuss, and resolve issues along the way

Generate IP and write technical reports or scientific papers


  • Student (f/m) of a university or university of applied sciences

  • Preferred field(s) of study: Computer science or related field

  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus

  • Computer skills: Basic knowledge of architectures and internals of both database systems and distributed systems, good knowledge of the C/C programming language

  • Hands-on systems building experience, as well as familiarity with agile software development, UNIX systems, and distributed version control are pluses

  • Language skills: Good command of the English language

  • Soft skills: Very good communication skills, ability to work independently

  • Others: Very good analytical problem solving skills
