The SAP Innovation Center Network is a strategic development entity within SAP, combining software engineering excellence with thought leadership and entrepreneurial spirit. Across various focus clusters and by building on strong teams, we pioneer game-changing solutions in close collaboration with startups, customers & partners in industry and research as well as with other SAP units. To ensure a successful go-to-market, we follow an end-to-end responsibility approach.

The Personalized Enterprise Software Team centers on the vision of creating business software for individuals, on top of processes. We are convinced that building on this vision will give us the opportunity to not only boost user experience and productivity across all walks of the enterprise - it will allow us to rethink how people work. Location for this position is Potsdam. There is a shuttle for SAP employees running from Berlin to Potsdam and back every day.

The position is a temporary position designed for 12 months located in Potsdam, Germany.


In this role you will conduct and support the development of the Knowledge Workspace at the SAP Innovation Center. Being a strong member of a technology savvy team you will be responsible for improving and implementing a cutting-edge business solution that offers a consumer-grade experience in the business world. You will work closely together with UI / UX designers as well as architects to ensure we offer the best possible user experience. We are a team with diversity at heart, so you will be able to work with the brightest minds from a multitude of cultural and ethnical backgrounds.


Required skills

  • University degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or a related field

  • A solid foundation in computer science with strong competencies in frontend development

  • Excellent programming skills in JavaScript and HTML 5

  • Working knowledge of writing and optimizing SQL & stored procedures

  • Proficiency in CSS3 and the desire to deliver pixel-perfect applications

  • Strong ability to work in close collaboration with developers, architects and designers

  • Strong analytical skills

Preferred skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Experience with using the Design Thinking methodology for user-centered software design

  • Working experience in UI5, NodeJS, Ruby, GoLang and/or UI/UX design is a benefit
