PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The SAP Innovation Center Network is a strategic development entity within SAP, combining software engineering excellence with thought leadership and entrepreneurial spirit. Across various focus clusters and by building on strong teams, we pioneer game-changing solutions in close collaboration with startups, customers & partners in industry and research as well as with other SAP units. To ensure a successful go-to-market, we follow an end-to-end responsibility approach.
The Personalized Enterprise Software Team centers on the vision of creating business software for individuals, on top of processes. We are convinced that building on this vision will give us the opportunity to not only boost user experience and productivity across all walks of the enterprise - it will allow us to rethink how people work. Location for this position is Potsdam. There is a shuttle for SAP employees running from Berlin to Potsdam and back every day.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
In this role you will conduct and support the development of the Knowledge Workspace at http://bit.ly/2caDmUA at the SAP Innovation Center Potsdam at http://bit.ly/2cBf9DH . The Knowledge Workspace brings right data and the right people together and equips people in charge with an interactive, collaborative tool for analysis and decision-making.
Being a strong member of a technology savvy team you will be responsible for improving and implementing a cutting-edge business solution that offers a consumer-grade experience in the business world. You will work closely together with UI / UX designers as well as architects to ensure we offer the best possible user experience. We are a team with diversity at heart, so you will be able to work with the brightest minds from a multitude of cultural and ethnical backgrounds.
Your tasks include:
Improving the foundation of the Knowledge Workspace applying Scrum and agile development
Building use cases on top of the foundation in close collaboration with our customers
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
University degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or a related field
Excellent programming skills in at least one programming language (e.g. Java)
Ability to design and implement complex features end-to-end
Strong ability to work in close collaboration with developers, architects, designers and product owners
Strong analytical skills
Experience in building standard software
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Working experience with test automation and continuous integration methodologies
Working experience in UI5, Polymer
