Business Overview:

Citi is looking for a motivated and organized Technical Implementation Lead with substantial experience in financial services and technology for an exciting and challenging position implementing global applications. This role will manage technical development activities for Compliance Technology applications including CitiSearch, Cross Sector Monitoring and CitiScreening. The candidate for this role will be a member of the Compliance Technology Services (CTS) team within GFTS specifically in the Name Screening Portfolio. This role requires In-depth knowledge and understanding of Name Screening Systems that include CitiSearch, Cross Sector Monitoring and CitiScreening, path to strong initiatives as well as the processes and procedures of the Compliance Technology group. Extensive knowledge and understanding of the workflow package Actimize extensively used in Name Screening Systems and Experience in KYC (Know Your Customer) processes/procedures and applications supporting AML are a must to effectively perform the responsibilities associated with this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working as a technical lead on the initiatives/projects under Path to Strong addressing the Analytics and Optimization of CitiScreening Framework to build capabilities for metrics generation. This will include analysis/assessment activities and setting the technical direction of projects through architecture and methodology with a focus on solutions development and delivery. Solutions must be aligned to business objectives and cost/benefits.

  • Develops and executes Ab Initio technical solutions aligned with business strategies as name screening requirements. Will be responsible for leading application development for CitiSearch, Cross Sector Monitoring and CitiScreening systems

  • Provides expert Ab Initio knowledge and oversight to implement complex and high performance requirements using the latest Ab Initio software

  • Leads all Data Quality and Processing initiatives to enhance the Search Engine for improved matching and alert generation and integration of Ab Initio for batch to improve processing timelines

  • Lead the Data archival solutioning and reporting features using ETL processing tool Ab Initio initiatives

  • Manages requirements around Big Data integration to replace Oracle Database and Ab Initio processing for file systems

  • Lead the technical designing for a robust Search Engine using the Ab Initio ETL Tool supporting the Screening requirements for CitiSearch, Cross Sector Monitoring and CitiScreening

  • Coordinates and support code quality reviews, integrity validation, and implementation planning activities

  • This role requires written and verbal skills, knowledge of technologies: Ab Initio Server(3.1.7.5), Ab Initio ACE, Ab Initio BRE, Ab Initio Data Profiler, Ab Initio Query>It, Ab Initio Web interface, Ab Initio Operations Console, Ab Initio Continuous Flows, WebSphere MQ, Tibco EMS, Autosys, WebServices, Unix/Linux, Oracle/SQL, WebSphere/Java, J2EE development methodologies, file transfer (NDM), messaging (MQ and Web Services), and Microsoft Office applications for SDLC documentation

  • Leads the Onsite and Offshore teams within the group and from various departments to ensure adherence to master plans and schedules. This includes project coordination of ensuring the plans for achieving these goals runs smoothly and efficiently and projects are completed on time

  • Facilitate the identification of risks and issues which impact project delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed by developing technical solutions to project problems. Recognize areas for internal improvement and develops plans for implementing them

  • Facilitate the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Technical Lead with experience in enterprise-wide application development, technology integration and deployments with excellent communications, strategy and problem management skills

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of Name Screening Systems that include CitiSearch, Cross Sector Monitoring and CitiScreening as well as the processes and procedures of the Compliance Technology group

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the workflow package Actimize extensively used in Name Screening Systems

  • Experience in KYC (Know Your Customer) processes/procedures and applications supporting AML

  • Extensive experience and understanding of the Sanctions Screening (OFAC), AML and FinCen regulations and requirements

  • Must have experience in participating in the coordination of multiple concurrent initiatives while relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Candidate needs to be highly client focused, highly motivated, and hard working

  • Ability to effectively work with a wide range of business units and technology groups

  • Must have strong problem solving and analytical skills with a proven ability to multi-task and successfully execute complex technical problems

  • Prior experience in the financial industry with Compliance Surveillance knowledge will allow the prospective candidate to hit the ground running.
