Leader, Digital Standards
Overview\n\nThis position reports to the Senior Business Leader, Digital Standards. This individual will be primarily responsible for project management of the creation and evolution of Mastercards digital standards.\n\nMasterCard is leading the digital transformation in payments and shifting share away from cash and direct deposit to alternative methods of payment, whether in-store, at home or on the go. Within MasterCard, the Digital Standards business unit is responsible for evolving our global standards and policies to align with our digital strategy and establishing a framework that will allow us to evolve our digital business, including the Express Program and the Digital Wallet Operator rules. This position will be responsible for managing key deliverables on this transformational effort.\n\nRole:\nExciting, fast-paced, newly-created Digital role will help define strategic approach to aligning Mastercard standards and rules to support innovation and rapidly changing needs in the payments industry. \nManage the delivery of critical aspects of discrete projects to correspond with strategic approach:\noExecute against specific deliverable(s). Track timelines and milestones\noAssist with the drafting of new or revised Rules and Standards to ensure flexibility\noEstablish and host internal project meetings with important internal support resources needed to define new Rules, Standards and related programs\noAssist in executing internal and external communications plans\nParticipate in cross-functional teams and provide detailed rules analysis and solutions to internal stakeholders regarding the application and development of MasterCard Standards to the project.\nAdvise senior management on complex rules issues, including detailed analysis and recommendations. \nWork with Franchise Development to review rules manuals for accuracy prior to publication. \nAssist management to identify opportunities to clarify or enhance MasterCard Rules and Standards related to digital commerce to accommodate a dynamic digital landscape\nEstablish internal reporting and tracking tools, including executive dashboard, project tracking and regular management reporting\nGather information about market dynamics affecting digital commerce \nRequest, collect, and synthesize internal reporting information from DP&L region teams, IMK and others\n\nAll About You:\nMust demonstrate strong leadership abilities, including acting with a sense of urgency, executing with excellence, contributing thoughtful insights, and putting forth extra effort. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to take accountability for pushing tasks and projects as far as possible to achieve desired goals. \nThe successful candidate should have a dynamic, positive, can do attitude. Must be interested in the growth of the digital economy and embrace new concepts. Should be inquisitive and think strategically to critically analyze circumstances\nMust be able to contribute and operate effectively within a diverse multicultural organization.\nShould be a team player with effective project management skills while being both organizationally savvy and a strong communicator able to collaborate cross-functionally and across regions.\nMust be able to work independently \nMust be thorough, meticulous and detail-oriented, but nevertheless able to prioritize and focus on the most important matters rather than just urgent ones.\nBroad knowledge of payments industry and MasterCard. \nUndergraduate degree and Project Management Professional (PMP) course work/certification preferred. \nCritical to the role will be the ability to partner with key stakeholders throughout MasterCard globally, including GP&S, MCT and colleagues in LFI, to ensure that the MasterCard Standards enable business and advance commerce globally and locally, while protecting MasterCard interests and the safety, security and integrity of the franchise.
