Senior Vice President, Product & Merchant Development

Overview\nKey objective of the Global Acceptance & Solutions group is to manage and commercialize existing products as well as develop new acceptance products to drive new revenues and purchase volume, optimize the existing acceptance base and materially expand the number of acceptance locations to new verticals through innovative, acceptance-focused solutions.\n\nThe Senior Vice President, Product & Merchant Development for Global Acceptance & Solutions is a significant contributor to Mastercard€™s strategic plan to expand global acceptance and capture new revenue share through a focus on offering acceptance focused products, services and solutions.\nSpecifically, the person in this role will have direct accountability and ownership of the strategy, Go-To-Market approach and commercialization for:\noDesign, launch and manage a key set of acceptance solutions & company directed programs with a focus on design, commercialization, delivery and scale\noDefine and oversee new acceptance and merchant business models, leverage new technologies and develop new products that contribute to acceptance expansion, purchase volume growth and value-added services revenue, from conception and design to implementation and management.\noOversee specific merchant specific vertical solution prioritization, strategy, product development and commercialization\noOversee and support mid and major merchant specific initiatives\n\n\n\nRole\nLead a team that is charged with a product suite contribution as a business unit. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new acceptance focused products for the company.\nCreate and Define Acceptance Product Suite Strategy, Value Proposition, Positioning and Business Models.\nOversee key business programs as identified by Management and support on an ad-hoc basis selected major merchant or key acceptance client proposals or initiatives\nResponsible for the performance of the Team€™s Product Suite in the marketplace and define the needed tactics to win against competition as well as against other metrics.\nBuild products from existing ideas as well as develop new ideas based on industry experience and contact with acceptance customers, prospects and other ecosystem stakeholders, leveraging existing or new R&D to secure relevance of product offering\nManage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.\nIdentify inorganic acceptance growth opportunities and lead designated M&A initiatives to grow or improve product suite and/or address specific strategic gaps or opportunities.\nDefine product requirements, new capabilities, SLAs, and the roadmap of your product suite by working closely with various groups across the organization.\nCoordinate internal and external resources needed for the development and deployment of your Product Suite.\nDevelop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, including product positioning, key benefits, and target customer \nProvide the required sales collaterals and training to the sales channels and other internal and external groups.\nServe as the internal and external evangelist for product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers.\n\n\n\nAll About You\nExperience in product life cycle management including development, management and deployment from relevant industry backgrounds in the fin-tech space.\nExtensive knowledge of payments/card industry with acceptance ecosystem experience preferred (i.e. merchant, acquiring, point of sale, integrated software and solutions. payment gateway, etc)\nRelevant experience integrating digital products into other payment products\nProven success in the product technology space coupled with strong strategic capabilities.\nMBA or advanced degree is a plus.\nSeasoned people manager to lead diverse team of direct reports. Coach, develop and create an environment that is motivating and inspiring. \nRequires the ability to foster open communications across all internal or external organizational levels and to interact and influence across multiple organizational levels of internal and external customer groups.\nExtensive knowledge of relevant operating systems, languages, and environments.\nProven ability to lead large complex, cross functional projects with the ability to work effectively across the organization. \nExcellent communicator- verbal, written and presentation skills. \nAbility to provide organizational direction based on clear thinking and sound judgment to assure appropriate business outcomes of large or complex projects.\nAbility to approve and implement policy and provides strategic direction for the organization is essential.\nTravel required
