Job Description The IT Project Manager will manage projects and activities spanning across IT operations, administration, networks, infrastructure, applications, databases and service desk associated with the ACA Contract. Oversees the planning and execution of technology operational changes, support, enhancements, decommissions and maintenance to meet contractual needs. Utilizes reach back into the Corp CIO/ETSS organization to ensure the use of industry best practice based processes and procedures for managing the technology environment, as well as adherence to Serco technology standards and enterprise solutions. Consults with appropriate management staff to clarify system and program requirements, identifies problems, and determines the extent of upgrades/modifications and support required. Develops project plans and schedules, contingency plans, workflow diagrams, and maintains operational and system documentation.

Specific duties include:

-Responsible for the oversight of multiple IT related projects.

-Responsible for defining project milestones and schedules, and managing a cross-functional team to achieve goals.

-Responsible for managing all aspects of project, from an individual task level to an executive summary.

-Responsible for producing regular executive level status and progress reports.

-Works as a consulting team member or an individual technical consultant on IT Infrastructure Systems implementation, software product implementations, enhancements and integrations.

-Works with different IT support teams, Business Process Management team and with Program Management team.

-Facilitates cross-functional work groups that include all levels of the organization to provide design/architectural reviews, to solve any problems and/or improve efficiencies.

-Manages and coordinates technical and administrative staff by assigning, scheduling, prioritizing, coordinating, and facilitating multiple tasks.

-Evaluates performance of subcontractors and staff in terms of actual and planned task schedules and resource requirements. Reviews work for quality assurance.

-Composes memoranda, reports, and other documentation highlighting project steps and status for daily and weekly meetings with customer. Attends meetings and makes presentations about project status and work commitments.

-Ensures training of all staff members and instructs them on customer’s methods, procedures, and standards. Evaluates, develops or implements procedures regarding project documentation and development.

-Troubleshoots technical problems and takes corrective action.

-Participates in long-range planning, analysis, and program design.

-Participates in the planning and design of new projects as requested.

-Acquiring follow-on business associated with assigned projects and for supporting new business development by leading relatively small proposals or assisting with major proposals.

Required Skills A Bachelor degree or equivalent experience. A minimum of ten to twelve years of related experience in a related technical environment are required.
