As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be working with a team of Product Managers, UI developers and QA members to develop cutting edge, state-of-the-art SaaS applications. You will be working in an Agile SCRUM environment with development responsibilities that span across all layers of the application.

In addition, you will be able to clearly communicate your ideas and both openly and honestly provide and receive regular input from your peers. While teamwork is of the utmost in importance, you can also work independently with minimal supervision, and take the initiative to constantly keep yourself engaged.

You possess a strong focus on quality and attention to detail, and possess the ability to quickly understand and solve unique and even undocumented programming problems. Naturally curious, you have a penchant for and drive to quickly learn and master skills in new technologies.

Job Duties include:

• Design, develop and maintain software applications using state-of-the-art tools and technologies

• Research, recommend and implement new technologies, tools and frameworks that can help enhance product capabilities, improve product quality and team productivity

• Develop code modules across all tiers including HTML/HTML5, javascript based front-end, Java middle tier and Oracle database back-end

• Perform thorough unit testing of developed modules and develop automation tests that can help speed up future regression

• Follow standard application development standards and best practices as well as those tailored to our internal development environment

• Actively participate in contributing to the internal knowledgebase through Wikis, Forums and other collaboration mechanisms

• Perform code reviews of peers to ensure compliance with internal standards and best practices

• Works under immediate supervision

• Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment

• Typically reports to an engineering manager

Required Qualifications:

• 4 years of overall software development experience, 2 years in Java. (or Masters with 2 years of experience)

• Very good understanding of Core Java concepts and principles

• Good understanding of REST/oData API architecture and principles.

• Expert in front-end technologies including HTML, HTML5, DHTML, CSS, JSP and JavaScript

• Good understanding of Java EE Web Application Technologies including JSP, Servlet, Struts, Spring, JMS and JDBC

• Working knowledge of OOAD, UML, design patterns and software development life cycle

• Working knowledge of one more of the following market-leading application servers/web containers: Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere or JBoss

• Good understanding of SQL and familiar with Oracle 11g or other major databases like SQL Server and DB2

• Exposure to SAP Hana database a plus.

• Working knowledge on XML, DTD/Schema, SAX/DOM and Java programming with XML

• Experience working in an Agile development environment, preferably SCRUM

• Familiar with tools like Subversion, Eclipse, FindBugs etc

• Enthusiastic, reliable individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent required; Master’s Degree preferred
