SC Department of Public Safety Supply Spec III in Richland County, South Carolina

Oversees the activities of a central receiving distribution and storage warehouse, coordinates the disposal of surplus property, and establishes facility security procedures. Prepares and administers operating budget. Develops and disseminates manuals and other correspondence pertaining to inventory control and property management. Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:

A high school diploma and work experience directly related to the area of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent and journey-level work experience directly related to the area of employment.

Additional Comments:

Knowledge of supply practices and procedures; inventory control practices and procedures; and accounting and bookkeeping procedures applicable to property and inventory control. Must have and maintain a valid South Carolina driver's license. Prior military service required. Must be able to train subordinate employees, oversee the work of others, and communicate effectively.
