HCA, Hospital Corporation of America Associate Vice President of Marketing in Richmond, Virginia

Job Summary:

Oversees strategic marketing, personnel, and operation initiatives for hospital facilities. Ensures marketing adherence to facility budget.

Provide guidance to Facility Marketing Directors with operational growth and business development initiatives, up to and including development and execution of integrated marketing plans, branding, digital asset management, social media, email marketing, direct mail, traditional advertising, video strategy development, reputation management, community relations, public relations, and other initiatives as assigned.

This person will act as the primary liaison between Facility Marketing and Division Leadership to assure strategies are aligned for optimal business growth, while working collaboratively with supporting departments to ensure integrated solutions.

Major Responsibilities:

 Partners with division marketing VP, service-line VPs, and facility marketing teams to ensure alignment of system and business unit goals and priorities in development and implementation of the marketing plan.  Supports and executes system-wide marketing strategies.  Utilizes quantitative and qualitative market information to guide analysis of competitive and industry trends related to service lines.  Provides direction in identifying key customers and determining their needs; assists in identifying and designing products/communications to meet the needs of key customers.  Develops comprehensive system-wide marketing programs, campaigns, and communications.  Helps facilitate and promote a positive customer experience from service discovery through utilization and support.  Serves as division media contact and spokesperson, manages division crisis/emergency communication, and supervises all local media-related activities.  Works with Facility Marketing Directors to create marketing plans for new and existing programs, provides research and project development support as required for new service development.  System-wide service line responsibilities to include: development of system service line brands, facility implementation, and participation in system service line meetings.  Acts as a marketing resource for hospital marketing directors across division, sharing best practices between sister facilities.  Serves as brand steward and maintain brand integrity at all times.  Demonstrates knowledge of and supports system mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.

Education and Experience: Advanced degree in journalism, public relations, marketing, business, communications or a related field from an accredited college or university. Demonstrated leadership, management and communications skills. Proven ability to analyze market research data and create actionable strategies. 10 years minimum healthcare experience in marketing, strategic planning, public relations, research, sales, communication, and interactive (internet/web) strategy necessary to understand and direct efforts.
