Corporate Compliance is seeking a Manager, Quantitative Analysis to manage fair lending risk throughout Capital One. The Fair Lending Compliance Team conducts data analysis to assess the fair lending risk of lending decisions and provides guidance, advice and approvals for Business Area activities based on this analysis. This role involves performing statistical data analyses and modeling on judgmental areas and working with business on the review of credit models and policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply mathematical and statistical methods to collect, organize, interpret and analyze business data to determine fair lending risk on judgmental decisions.

  • Perform statistical modeling and analysis of data in various business areas, utilizing linear and logistic regression to perform qualitative and quantitative data analysis and reporting.

  • Assess data quality, prepare data for analysis, build statistical models to identify relationships and trends in historic data, and analyze and interpret statistical data to identify fair lending risk

  • Prepare memos of data analyses and present complex statistical concepts and analysis results to regulators and senior management.

  • Provide guidance and approval on the fair lending and related risks presented by policies and models that determine credit risk, segment populations, provide valuations or other business related insights.

  • Ensure accuracy of modeling and analysis results by providing effective challenge and independent review

  • Support Audit and Exam related efforts

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • At least 2 years' experience in SAS programming

  • At least 2 years’ experience in Statistical analysis and modeling

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Statistics, Economics or Mathematics, Physics, Financial Engineering, Operational Research or Engineering

  • 3+ years’ experience in Statistical modeling techniques

  • 3+ years’ experience in SAS Programming

  • 2+ years’ experience using advanced Excel

  • 2+ years’ experience using advanced Power Point
