Under general guidance from the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Analyst assists in all aspects of payroll processing with the ability to provide quality service to our employee clientele. The Payroll Analyst supports all payroll related activities and serves as a backup in the absence of staff support.
Main Areas of Responsibility:
Ensure accurate and timely data transfers from Client and Client vendors to ADP Comprehensive Outsourcing Services (COS) according to the production schedule.
Review and analyze vendor-provided documents and reports.
Research issues and provide recommendations for resolution/correction related to payroll processing activities and outputs (checks, reports, files).
Assist team members in day-to-day data collection, preparation and export of pay data files to ADP in accordance with the timelines outlined in the production scheduled.
Review, file, maintain and audit vendor payroll reports.
If applicable, review and sign off on employee time submissions for transmission to ADP, as directed by the Supervisor/Manager.
Work with ADP COS Payroll Team as needed to research and respond to escalated employee inquiries.
Assist with payroll related internal Client communications.
Work with internal departments in troubleshooting payroll related inquiries.
Manage multiple projects relating to interface, time input and/or payroll integrations.
Assists in balancing and reconciliation of each payroll on a biweekly, quarterly and annual basis.
Creates ad hoc reports for Accounting, Tax, Payroll and other departments as requested using ADP Reporting.
The following listed requirements need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job:
At least 2 years of multi-state payroll experience.
Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) practices and methods.
Payroll accounting theory, principles, practices and applications (W2s, W2c, Tax Filings…etc).
Principles of mathematical and statistical computations.
Federal, state and local taxes and benefits principles, practices and procedures.
Business English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Proficient in MicroSoft Office Suite; intermediate advanced Excel knowledge (i.e. pivot tables, v-lookups, etc).
The below skills are attributes that may not be mandatory, but are definitely desired in the ideal candidate.
ADP Enterprise Version 5, ADPR, Kronos 8.0 or greater, Workday.
Pharmaceutical experience a plus
- Associate’s degree in related field from an accredited college or FPC/CPP certification
