This position is responsible for the timely and accurate maintenance andanalysis of the company’s inventories. This permanent position will be based out of Parsippany, NJ. Key job responsibilities are:
Maintain accurate inventory records.
Make any necessary correcting journal entries to inventory at month end to ensure inventory is stated correctly on the balance sheet and reconciles to G/L.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Perform or lead inventory counts and analyze variances.
Review inventory adjustments for validity.
Manage and reconcile inventory transfer pricing and intercompany eliminations.
Conduct analysis into inventory costs and related trends.
Support the accounting team with special projects as needed.
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in an accounting role, particularly inventory accounting.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related.
Experience with SAP preferred.
Balance Sheet account reconciliation and analysis experience.
Advanced Excel, ability to modify formulas, use vlookups and pivot tables.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to easily interact within the department and with others.
Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively in order to meet deadlines.
